Caption line break generator
Blank lines that survive being pasted into a field that eats them — and a switch that takes the marks out again.
It runs entirely in this browser tab: nothing is posted, nothing is scheduled, and nothing you type is uploaded.
Settings
- The mark
- The braille blank survives the most fields; the middle dot is visible on purpose. Choices: An invisible space, A hair space, A visible dot.
- Blank lines
- Each blank line is one more character against the limit. A number from 1 to 5.
- Take the marks out
- Paste back a caption this made, and the marks come out again.
- First line on its own
- What shows before "more" is the first line, so a blank after it keeps the rest out of the preview.
How to use it
- Paste your text into the box above, or open a file.
- Adjust the settings beside it until the result is what you wanted.
- Copy the result, or save it as a file. The result updates as you type.
Questions
- Can this post or schedule anything?
- No, and it never will from a page like this. Posting on a schedule needs an account, a key and a server; there is none of that here and no network request is made. The calendar plans, and the result says so.
- Are the character limits current?
- They are the published figures as of the month printed on every result. Platforms change them without notice and nothing here can check, which is exactly why the date is on the page rather than implied.
- Is anything I paste in stored?
- No. It stays in this tab, and in the link if you choose to share one. There is no account, no server and no history kept anywhere.
- Why do the mockups say MOCKUP on them?
- Because a picture that could pass for a screenshot of somebody's real account is a tool for making fake evidence. The label is drawn on the picture, no setting removes it, and the mockups imitate no particular application: no logo, no verification tick, no platform name.
