Twenty tools that plan, count and check β€” and never connect

Almost every tool in this category is a front end for a service: it posts for you, it schedules for you, it tells you how many people used a hashtag last week, it scores your headline out of a hundred. **None of that can be done from a browser tab with no server**, and three of those four should not be done at all.

So the line is drawn once and held everywhere: this plans, counts, formats and checks, and it never connects. A calendar that cannot publish is still the thing most people wanted, because the hard part was deciding what goes out on Thursday. A character counter that knows the published limits is the whole tool.

**The published figures carry the month they were written down.** Character limits and image sizes change without notice and nothing here can check them, so every table says when it was last edited and that it may already be wrong. A stale number given confidently is worse than no number at all.

**The scores are indicators, not predictions.** Length, structure and readability can be measured; whether anybody clicks cannot. The spam-word list in the subject-line checker is folklore and says so on the result, because a real filter works on sending reputation and on things no page can see.

The post

Thread splitter
A long post as a numbered series that each fit, split at sentence ends, with the numbering counted into every piece.

Hashtag generator
Tags out of your own words, spelled the way a tag has to be spelled β€” and ranked, counted and checked by nothing at all.

Caption line break generator
Blank lines that survive being pasted into a field that eats them β€” and a switch that takes the marks out again.

Video chapter generator
Chapter marks in the right format, with the three rules that make a list work: start at nought, be in order, be long enough.

Reach

Engagement rate calculator
Engagement against followers, reach and impressions side by side, because two figures for one post are not in conflict.

Sponsored post rate calculator
A range with its workings shown, not a price: audience, engagement, format, exclusivity and rights, each as a factor you can argue with.

Planning

Content calendar planner
A week laid out by day or by channel, with the empty days named and the share that is selling counted. It plans; it does not publish.

Blog outline builder
An indented list of headings turned into a numbered outline with a word budget shared out between the sections.

Content brief generator
The form whose value is the questions it asks, and which names the fields you left empty rather than letting the article come back rewritten.

Press release builder
The standard shape β€” dateline, opening sentence, quotation, boilerplate, contact β€” with the missing pieces named and the length checked.

Keyword grouping tool
Thousands of search terms sorted into the pages they belong on, by the words they share, with every term in exactly one group.

Internal link planner
The pages you list drawn as a diagram, with the ones nothing points at marked and the pairs worth linking suggested from their names.

Before it goes out

Headline variant tester
Variants side by side on length, structure and reading level β€” the measurable half, said to be indicators and not a prediction of anything.

Email subject line checker
Where four inboxes cut it, what the preview text fills in, and a folklore word list that says on the result that it is folklore.

Thumbnail readability checker
A thumbnail at the widths it is actually shown at, with the contrast of its nine parts and how much fine detail survives the shrinking. No text recognition.

Made here

Link in bio page builder
One HTML file with its styles inside it and nothing fetched from anywhere. Host it yourself instead of renting a page nobody can take away.

Post mockup generator
A post drawn generically for a slide or a manual β€” no logo, no verification tick, no platform name, and the word MOCKUP on the picture where no setting can remove it.

Chat mockup generator
A conversation in bubbles for a tutorial or a storyboard β€” generic on purpose, with the same label on the picture that no setting removes.

Social image size reference
Sixteen published sizes as a table or as the shapes drawn side by side, with the month they were written down on every result.

Questions

Why does the hashtag tool not show how popular a tag is?
Because that needs a server, and this application never makes a request. What it does instead is the half that can be done well: turning your words into tags that are spelled the way a tag has to be spelled β€” no spaces, no punctuation, accents off, because an accented tag and its plain twin are two different tags and only one of them is searched.
How can a character counter be wrong?
By counting the wrong thing. A flag is one character on the screen, four code points in the string and eight bytes in the file, and only the first of those is what a limit is about β€” so that is what is counted. One platform also replaces every link with a fixed width before counting, which is why a post with a long address fits there and nowhere else, and the table has a column for it.
Does the thumbnail checker read the text on my picture?
No, and it says so. There is no character recognition here. What it measures is the contrast in each of the nine parts of the picture and how much fine detail survives being shown at a hundred and sixty-eight pixels across β€” and in a thumbnail, the fine detail is nearly always the text.
Why is the link-in-bio page a file rather than a page you host?
Because a page somebody else hosts can be taken away, and a subscription for one static page is a subscription. What comes out is a single HTML file with its styles inside it: no script, no external stylesheet, no font fetched from anywhere. Upload it and it works.
