Blog outline builder
An indented list of headings turned into a numbered outline with a word budget shared out between the sections.
It runs entirely in this browser tab: nothing is posted, nothing is scheduled, and nothing you type is uploaded.
Settings
- Shape
- Capitals inside a tag are only for reading it: a tag is the same tag either way. Choices: Your own, A how-to, A comparison, A case study, A list.
- Words in total
- The budget is shared out between the sections, and a heading under one gets a share of its section. A number from 200 to 8000.
- Number them
- On or off. Starts on.
- Check the balance
- A section with six sub-headings and one with none are not the same article.
- Uneven above
- The difference between the fullest section and the emptiest, as a percentage. A number from 20 to 300.
How to use it
- Paste your text into the box above, or open a file.
- Adjust the settings beside it until the result is what you wanted.
- Copy the result, or save it as a file. The result updates as you type.
Questions
- Can this post or schedule anything?
- No, and it never will from a page like this. Posting on a schedule needs an account, a key and a server; there is none of that here and no network request is made. The calendar plans, and the result says so.
- Are the character limits current?
- They are the published figures as of the month printed on every result. Platforms change them without notice and nothing here can check, which is exactly why the date is on the page rather than implied.
- Is anything I paste in stored?
- No. It stays in this tab, and in the link if you choose to share one. There is no account, no server and no history kept anywhere.
- Why do the mockups say MOCKUP on them?
- Because a picture that could pass for a screenshot of somebody's real account is a tool for making fake evidence. The label is drawn on the picture, no setting removes it, and the mockups imitate no particular application: no logo, no verification tick, no platform name.
