Press release builder
The standard shape — dateline, opening sentence, quotation, boilerplate, contact — with the missing pieces named and the length checked.
It runs entirely in this browser tab: nothing is posted, nothing is scheduled, and nothing you type is uploaded.
Settings
- The organisation
- The name as it should appear in print, once.
- Place
- The town the news comes from. It goes before the first sentence.
- Date
- Empty uses today's date, from this device.
- What happened
- The first line becomes the opening sentence. Put the news in it.
- The quotation
- Something a person would say aloud. "We are delighted" is not.
- Who said it
- Name and job title, because a quotation from nobody is not a quotation.
- About the organisation
- The paragraph that goes at the end of every release you send.
- Contact for the press
- A name, a telephone number and an address somebody answers today.
- Add the questions
- Five questions whose answers are what makes the document worth sending.
- End with ###
- On or off. Starts on.
How to use it
- Paste your text into the box above, or open a file.
- Adjust the settings beside it until the result is what you wanted.
- Copy the result, or save it as a file. The result updates as you type.
Questions
- Can this post or schedule anything?
- No, and it never will from a page like this. Posting on a schedule needs an account, a key and a server; there is none of that here and no network request is made. The calendar plans, and the result says so.
- Are the character limits current?
- They are the published figures as of the month printed on every result. Platforms change them without notice and nothing here can check, which is exactly why the date is on the page rather than implied.
- Is anything I paste in stored?
- No. It stays in this tab, and in the link if you choose to share one. There is no account, no server and no history kept anywhere.
- Why do the mockups say MOCKUP on them?
- Because a picture that could pass for a screenshot of somebody's real account is a tool for making fake evidence. The label is drawn on the picture, no setting removes it, and the mockups imitate no particular application: no logo, no verification tick, no platform name.

The pages you list drawn as a diagram, with the ones nothing points at marked and the pairs worth linking suggested from their names.
